The roster build continues. With the potential for a women’s tournament in the new year, WWE has signed up a new batch of women’s wrestlers. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, WWE has signed Heidi Lovelace, Kimber Lee and Evie to contracts. Lovelace and Lee will report to the Performance Center in January while Evie will be there in April.

Lovelace has appeared around the independent circuit for years with stops in Ohio Valley Wrestling and Chikara.

Lee feuded with Lovelace in Chikara and even won the company’s Grand Championship, making her one of the few women to win a title in a primarily men’s promotion.  She recently appeared as a jobber on an episode of “NXT”.

Evie is from New Zealand and has wrestled around the world as well.  She appeared in a squash match against Nia Jax on “NXT” back in 2015.

This is something that I love about NXT. The women’s division was floundering a bit and in need of some fresh blood. Their solution? Go out and sign up some new names to give the division depth. All three women are in their 20s but have experience wrestling around the world. This is how to make a promotion like NXT work and they’re doing it just fine.

Are you familiar with the new crop of talent? Which is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below.
