WWE Reportedly Considering Bringing In All Time Legend For The Royal Rumble

Him? There have been almost countless wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and some of them have become iconic base on their contributions to the company. These are the wrestlers who are often brought back into the promotion after their in-ring careers are over and that might be the case again, with one of the biggest names in WWE history rumored for another return.

According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, there have been discussions of WWE bringing in Ric Flair for the 2025 Royal Rumble event. There is no word on what Flair would be doing at the show or how far along the discussions have gone, though there is nothing to indicate that Flair would be wrestling. Flair, 75, most recently worked for AEW in a stint last year.

Opinion: While it doesn’t surprise me that Flair might be brought back given that Charlotte has been rumored to be returning sooner rather than later, I’m not sure I can imagine this being more than a one off appearance. Ultimately, Flair has been around so many promotions so many times that there is little reason to keep him around permanently. It would be nice to have him make a quick appearance, but I don’t think it’s going to be more than that.
