In a move that isn’t the most surprising the history of the show, WWE has released another Tough Enough winner. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Season 6 winner Sara Lee has been released. While no reason has been given, Lee recently announced her pregnancy via Twitter, which may have played a role in the dismissal. The father is NXT wrestler Blake.
Tough Enough winners haven’t had much success in WWE. Of the ten winners, only Season 3 winner John Hennigan (John Morrison) faired the best. Three winners (Lee, Leavine and Puder) never had a singles match as a member of the main roster. Lee’s co-winner, Bredl, is still signed to the promotion and training in NXT.

Lee being released isn’t the most earth shattering news. Runner-up Mandy Rose has already debuted on NXT and has a regular role on Total Divas. It’s not like WWE is losing much outside of the $250,000 Lee received for winning the show. Both WWE and NXT need help in their women’s divisions now, not months or years down the road, when these newcomers have been trained and seasoned.
What do you think of Tough Enough? Should the show be brought back again given the winners’ lack of success? Let us know in the comments below.
