I think they would like her back. The WWE Women’s Revolution changed wrestling in a huge and very positive way. Women’s wrestling went from almost nothing to main eventing WrestleMania, which is about as high as you can get in WWE. There have been all kinds of developments in the division and now we might be seeing the return of one of the biggest stars it has ever seen.
While you can argue a good bit about what sparked the Women’s Revolution, the rise of top female athletes around the world had a lot to do with it. Near or at the top of this list is Ronda Rousey, who became one of the biggest stars in the history of mixed martial arts. Rousey them moves over to WWE and then became one of the top names there as well. After headlining WrestleMania 35, Rousey stepped away from wrestling but it seems that she might not be done.
WWE President Nick Khan was a guest on the Colin Cowherd Podcast and mentioned that Rousey would be back in WWE at some point in the future. Khan did not give any specific date for when Rousey could return. Rousey has not appeared on WWE TV since losing the Raw Women’s Title at WrestleMania 35. During her time away, she has mainly focused on her YouTube channel and occasional charity appearances.
Rousey was as strong of a star as you could get when she was around. Check out her time in WWE:
Opinion: This is a situation where I’ll believe it when I see it. Rousey is a major star outside of WWE as well and if she does not want to come back to WWE, it isn’t like she will have no other opportunities. Maybe she returns one day, though it wouldn’t surprise me if it is as more of a special attraction. Rousey does not need to be around every week, but once in a while would work out rather well indeed.
