Are you sure about that? Wrestlers are signed to other companies at a fairly regular pace and that is a good thing. Seeing a new wrestler show up after making their name elsewhere can be quite the exciting moment, especially if they are a big enough star to make a big impact. Sometimes it does not work as well though and WWE might be walking on a thin line with a wrestler that has drawn their interest.

One of the biggest stories of 2020 was the SpeakingOut Movement, which shook up the wrestling world. Several women posted stories of sexual misconduct and assaults by wrestlers and wrestling personalities, many of whom found themselves instantly blackballed from the industry. Not all of them are done though, and now one of the bigger names might be getting a bigger chance.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Marty Scurll might wind up in WWE despite the SpeakingOut allegations against him. WWE would simply ignore the situation and bring him in, as they can absorb the negative publicity that comes with Scurll. AEW is also an option as Scurll has friends there, but they may not want the negative aspects. New Japan is also an option for Scurll in the future, though it is not known when he will make his decision.

Opinion: While it’s true that WWE could absorb something like this a lot better, that doesn’t mean it is a good idea. Scurll is accused of something that is not so easy to shake off and fans are going to know the story. WWE has a lot of places to put him but that does not mean that it is going to work. While Scurll is talented, he has a lot of baggage coming with him and might not be worth it.
