Thinking way ahead. We are in a weird place in the wrestling world and that is going to be the case for a good while to come. Wrestling companies are going to have a rough time planning ahead but that does not mean there are no plans in place. WWE has a lot of ground to cover in the future and they have a few ideas in mind for what to do with two of their bigger names.

One of the more interesting surprises to come out of the two nights of the 2020 Draft was the return of Lars Sullivan after almost a year and a half away from the ring. Sullivan had been out of action with a knee injury but returned to attack Matt Riddle and Jeff Hardy. He has since been drafted to SmackDown, but there are plans for him to face off with a Monday Night Raw star down the line.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is to have Sullivan feud with Braun Strowman in one year’s time. Strowman was drafted to Monday Night Raw on Monday while Sullivan was sent to SmackDown, meaning that one of them would either have to jump to the other show or something like the Brand To Brand Invitational would have to be used. Sullivan is scheduled to have his return match this week on SmackDown against Hardy.

That would be a clash. Check out the monsters in action:

Opinion: This has some potential and could be a nice clash, but I’m not entirely sure I believe that WWE is going to be able to last a full year before pulling the trigger on something. Assuming they can pull it off though, this could be quite the showdown and something that could make for a rather entertaining match. That is of course assuming that Sullivan hasn’t had another issue which puts him on the shelf all over again.
