Bring them back? Wrestling is often built around major events. While you will have the weekly or monthly shows, there are also bigger events that feel special and more important than others. Those are the ones that promotions build towards and often use as the big day on their calendar. It means something when you see one and now a famous series might be on the way back.

According to Fightful Select, NXT is planning to bring back the Takeover series as premium live events/pay per views rather than special editions of NXT. The upcoming Halloween Havoc will take place on October 22 as a pay per view rather than an episode of NXT. There has been no official announcement made as of yet. It is not clear how often the shows will take place.

Opinion: This is hardly a surprise given some of the other changes that have been taking place in WWE and NXT as of late. It makes sense to have this go down as well, as Takeover was one of the most important things in the history of NXT. Let them come back if NXT is ready, but that might be a lot more difficult than it seems. I’m glad for the idea, but it just needs to be done right.
