They’re at it again. AEW has come a long way in a fairly short amount of time and has shaken up the wrestling world as a result. That is the kind of thing that we have not seen in a very long time and it is hard to know what to think of it most of the time. WWE certainly does not seem to know what to do about them most of the time but they might be trying something new.
According to PWInsider.com, some cable systems are listing WWE Talking Smack airing at 10pm EST on Friday October 29 on Fox Sports 1, putting the show on at the same time as AEW Rampage. SmackDown is already scheduled to air on Fox Sports 1 the same night due to FOX’s coverage of the World Series. This comes after last week’s SmackDown was extended by half an hour to go against Rampage, which aired a special Buy-In show to oppose the second half of SmackDown. There is no word on if this would be a permanent move, as Talking Smack normally airs on Saturday mornings.

Opinion: I’m not sure how much of a difference this is going to make for WWE, as ultimately Talking Smack is a recap show. While it does seem that WWE has targeted Rampage and is attempting to bring it down as much as possible, this does not seem to be something that is going to put a huge dent in Rampage’s audience. This could come off badly for WWE, though I’m not sure how much they care.
