Remember that? WrestleMania 37 has come and gone and it was the biggest weekend that WWE has had in over a year. Fans were present for the first time in thirteen months and that is the kind of thing that they have been building towards for a very long time now. It was quite the spectacle and thankfully the show went as well as it did. Not everything was perfect, though you might not know that watching the replay.
Just like last year, WrestleMania took place over the course of two nights, but this time around was on a slightly bigger scale. WrestleMania 36 took place inside the Performance Center, which is not exactly the image that comes up when you think of the Grandest Stage Of Them All. This year’s show took place at Raymond James Stadium, a traditional NFL stadium. It turns out that was not the best idea for one reason, but you would not know it looking back.
According to Inside The Ropes Gary Cassidy, WWE has made two edits to WrestleMania 37 on the WWE Network. First, the rain delayed portion has been removed. The show was delayed by about 40 minutes due to bad weather, during which wrestlers cut short, off the cuff promos to fill time. Now the delay is not mentioned. Second, Mandy Rose slipping on the ramp has also been removed, despite it being used as a storyline point the following night on Monday Night Raw. As of Monday night, the segments are still on the Peacock version.
Rose’s slip was used as a plot point the following night, as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler watched the clip over and over. Rose and Brooke attacked Jax, who then slipped as well during their tag team match later in the night. There is no word on if WWE will edit out the backstage segment showing the slip from the April 12 Monday Night Raw on the WWE Network.
WWE has edited #WrestleMania Night 1 on the WWE Network to remove the rain delays.
The start now sees Vince McMahon and the roster welcome fans back, Bebe Rexha perform America The Beautiful, the production intro, then it cuts to Titus O'Neil & Hulk Hogan's first appearance.

I get it as it makes the show a much slicker watch in retrospect, but it's such a shame as some of those promos were really enjoyable.
I'm just glad I got a screenshot of the ponchos.

Mandy Rose's slip has also been edited out. We instead see a prolonged shot of Ruby Riott in the ring instead.

Enjoy it while you can. Check out the best of WrestleMania:
Opinion: This is where WWE tries to think things out a bit too much as there is little reason for these changes. Are they really that annoyed that the weather happened? One of the big ideas they like to push is anything can happen at WrestleMania so they get rid of an instance where something interesting happened? But we can sit through the recaps, the entrances and all the other time consuming parts?
Then there is the Rose slip, which is just going to cause confusion. How confusing is it going to be to have that minor mistake edited off when it is used as a plot point on Monday Night Raw? Yes, someone slipped on a wet ramp on the way to the ring. I can’t get my head around the idea of WWE being this annoyed about something like the weather. I know they are, but egads.
