We haven’t had a talent raid in awhile. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (by way of 411mania.com), WWE is interested in TNA’s Eli Drake. At the moment Drake is signed to a TNA deal of unknown length which he agreed to back in May. There is no word on whether or not WWE would be able to get Drake out of his deal.

Drake actually used to work for WWE in NXT under the name Slate Randall. He was released over some comments made on social media which got him in hot water with WWE management. Drake debuted on “Impact Wrestling” back in March 2015 and has risen up the company’s ranks, winning the King of the Mountain Title and challenging for the World Title this year.

This is great news for me as I’m a big Drake fan. He’s easily one of the best things going in TNA and has been for a long time. Drake is one of the best talkers the company has and really does come off like someone you want to punch in the face after talking to him for about ten seconds. That kind of person will always have a place in wrestling and Drake clearly has something WWE is interested in. Hopefully this goes somewhere.

Are you a fan of Drake? Would you like to see him back in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
