A handshake will do. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster today and some of them are bigger stars than others. In addition to all of the stars who are still in the primes of their careers, there are some who are legends and have the stature to back it up. That is the kind of thing that you can’t replace in a hurry and needs to be protected, but one such legend is in a bit of a risky spot.

One of the biggest stories going on Monday Night Raw at the moment is that of Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins. The two have been going back and forth for several weeks now, including Rollins attempting to take out Mysterio’s eye. That is quite the intense way to go for both of them and they are getting a lot of attention for what they are doing. However, Mysterio is lacking a certain something during the story.

According to F4WOnline.com, Mysterio is currently working without a contract. His previous deal was signed in September 2018 and it is not clear when it expired. Mysterio has not wrestled since the May 11 Monday Night Raw and has mainly appeared in interviews from outside the arena. He is expected to face Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules and it is not clear if he will have signed a new deal by then.

Mysterio has been around for a long time. Check out some of his best WWE moments:

Opinion: This is something you don’t see too often as WWE is not the kind of company to have wrestlers work big angles without a contract. I’m sure that if they were to put Mysterio in a major pay per view match, some kind of a deal would be worked out first, but stranger things have happened. The good thing about Mysterio is that he can be trusted in a spot like this, which isn’t the case for everyone who would be in such a situation.

How have you liked the story so far? When will Mysterio retire for good? Let us know in the comments below.
