It’s an important story. The biggest news story in the country at the moment is the Derek Chauvin trial verdict. The former Minneapolis, Minnesota police officer was found guilty on all three counts against him in the murder of George Floyd last summer. As a result, Chauvin could be going to jail for the next few decades. The story has gotten quite a bit of attention, including from a wrestling legend.
WWE Hall of Famer and multiple time World Champion Kevin Nash has weighed in on the Chauvin verdict, which he called a step in the right direction but nothing more. Nash said that the verdict restored the fact that the country has moved beyond the Rodney King injustice. He also said that last summer, when the protests over Floyd’s death began, had such an impact because the people stood together.
A fan went on to ask Nash about his relationship with the McMahon Family, asking how he could work with them knowing “what side they are on”. Nash responded, saying that their political affiliation did not make them racists. He then cited Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s community service work over the years as proof of the kind of people that they are.
Today's Verdict is a step in the right direction. Nothing more. This restores that we're at least past the Rodney King injustice. Last summer had a lasting effect because we stood together. Rest in Power George.

What the fuck are you talking about? Paul Levesque and Steph are two people I love and know. Being a member of the Republican party doesn't require you to be a racist. We're great friends and capitalist. I think they're track record and community service speaks volumes of them

Opinion: Oddly enough, this is not a topic that many wrestlers have commented on. It should be interesting to see how many other wrestlers or wrestling personalities talk about the verdict, as it would seem to be something that a lot of people want to talk about. Nash is someone who has some well thought out opinions on Twitter and the things he says make sense. This is a situation that is going to have some repercussions throughout the country and it would make sense for some wrestlers to have something to say about what is going on.
