WWE Hints Bayley Won’t Wrestle at “Summerslam”

There might be some stopping her now. Bayley is one of the biggest names in the “Monday Night Raw” women’s division and is already one of the most successful women on the roster. She’s scheduled to challenge Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Title at “Summerslam 2017” but there might be a big road block in her way.

Update on Bayley's SummerSlam status due to shoulder injury

This past Monday, Bayley injured her shoulder in a match against Nia Jax on “Monday Night Raw”. As it turns out, the injury might keep her from her title shot, though the final status is currently up in the air. WWE.com has posted an update, saying that while the final diagnosis is likely to come this Monday, things aren’t looking good for Bayley at the moment. Here is the statement:

“According to WWE medical personnel, the extent of the injury has yet to be determined due to swelling in and around the injured area. A conclusive diagnosis will be made Monday in Toronto, but based on what we have seen, it doesn’t seem likey that The Huggable One will be getting back into the ring anytime soon. If Bayley is unable to compete at SummerSlam, who will challenge the so-called “Goddess of WWE” for her coveted championship? Hopefully, details will emerge on Raw.”

Opinion: The only silver lining that could come from this is the possibility of a Bayley vs. Sasha Banks feud being kickstarted. If Bayley can’t wrestle at the pay per view, the logical choice would be to have Banks take her place, and that could help set up Banks vs. Bayley down the line. Either way, that feud likely needs to happen sooner rather than later.
