No more? WWE has changed quite a bit in recent years, with some things taking place that would never have seemed possible in previous times. That makes for some interesting situations, as wrestlers are able to do some things that would have landed them in some big trouble in earlier eras. We now know something else that has changed and it will likely be a popular move.

WWE Superstar Michin appeared on the Speakeezy podcast and revealed that WWE no longer bans wrestlers from using marijuana. While the drug was banned at one point, Michin said that it was dropped “a couple years ago”, allowing wrestlers to use it seemingly without penalty. Some wrestlers had previously been punished for testing positive, though usually in the form of a fine.

Opinion: This is one of those changes that is not exactly surprising, as marijuana is now legal in a variety of forms and in various locations through the United States. It is a bit of a stretch to say that it is against the rules for WWE, and that seems to be what they think as well. It isn’t the biggest shock, but now we are seeing things changing in a more formal way.
