Him? WWE Fans Respond To Announcement Of Roman Reigns' Upcoming Title Defense

He’s in trouble? We are rapidly approaching three years of Roman Reigns holding the Universal Title. This marks the longest World Title reign in WWE in over thirty five years and makes every Reigns title defense feel that much bigger. It can mean a lot if WWE presents the right challenger and that could be the case this weekend. Now fans are weighing in to make it even more interesting.

WWE has announced that Reigns will be defending his title against Rey Mysterio at a live event on Saturday June 17 in Cincinnati, Ohio. This has prompted a string of online responses from fans, many of whom believe that Mysterio will be the one to dethrone Reigns. At the same time, there are others who do not believe such a change will take place at a live event. Here are some of the responses:

Opinion: While I can’t imagine that Reigns’ literally all time World Title reign is going to come to an end at a non-televised event, there is something special about seeing Reigns’ name on the card. Other than that, you have a Hall of Famer in Mysterio getting the title shot, which should make for a heck of a showdown. For a live event, this is a major main event and they should be able to deliver on it rather well.
