Take two. WrestleMania 36 is one of the most unique shows that WWE has ever presented and pretty easily the weirdest WrestleMania of all time. Thanks to the Coronavirus, the show took place over two nights in front of no fans at the Performance Center. That made for quite the different style and it did not work out as well as WWE was hoping. They might be willing to try something again next year.

The big selling point of WrestleMania 36 was the main event of Drew McIntyre challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. McIntyre went on to win the title in a short match and become the new top star of the company. It was a crowning moment and would have been incredible had it taken place in front of a stadium of fans. What we saw worked well, but we might be seeing something similar next year.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is considering running McIntyre vs. Lesnar in a rematch at next year’s WrestleMania 37. It is not guaranteed that this match will be taking place though, as there are other factors to consider, including both signing Lesnar to a new deal with the company and Randy Orton, who had been considered for a main event spot as well. There is no word on who would be WWE Champion going into the show.

The first match worked out well enough. Check out how things went earlier this year:

Opinion: I’m not sure if we need to see the match again but WWE has a tendency to like to try and set things up as perfectly as they can, even if it takes multiple attempts to make it work. McIntyre has done well enough in his first reign and I don’t particularly need to see him beating Lesnar again. Let someone else in there and have a chance at something like this because Lesnar is as established as you can get in WWE.
