He’s in. There are certain stars throughout WWE’s history who are going to be able to come back to the company years after their in-ring careers are over. These are often some of the biggest stars in wrestling and they are often put into special circumstances. That is going to be the case again next week, as we are going to be seeing a legend making a big appearance on a major stage.

This week on SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis was unable to get WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to sign a new contract for their upcoming match at the Royal Rumble. After the two got in a fight, Aldis yelled at Rhodes, saying that the contract signing would take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25 in San Antonio, Texas. WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels, from San Antonio, will serve as moderator for the event.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is perfect for Michaels, as the show is going to be in his hometown and adding a legend to the event should boost some interest. Michaels is one of the biggest names WWE has ever had and it is a good thing to put him on a show like this one. It should be interesting to have him around again, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see him making more such appearances on the Road To WrestleMania.
