Get your envelopes ready. There are a number of traditions on the WWE calendar and some of them are more famous than others. One of these events taking place can be rather exciting and the kind of thing that fans look forward to every year. Sometimes WWE will take some time off from one of them and come back again later, which seems to be the case here.
One thing that has been a tradition among wrestling fans for the better part of ever is debating various wrestling topics. This could be anything from the best to the worst wrestler, match, show or any point in between. Everyone has done this at one point or another and there can be some fascinating discussions to be had. Now WWE is wading back into the same idea for the end of the year.
The WWE Network Twitter account has announced a list of new WWE Network specials coming throughout December, including the return of the Slammy Awards. There is no word on when the awards will air or how many categories will be included. The awards show was first held in 1986, again in 1987, three times in the 1990s and from 2008 – 2015. The 2000s editions were all held as special episodes of Monday Night Raw.

These are always worth a look. Check out some Slammy moments:
Opinion: I’ve loved the Slammy Awards since I was a kid so this is a really cool announcement. It’s an idea that has always made perfect sense for a special and having them again makes a lot of sense here. At the same time, I can get the idea of not wanting to dedicate a full edition of Monday Night Raw to the concept so the WWE Network is about as perfect of a place to put them as there is.
