He’s an impact player. There is a long history of wrestling having mainstream celebrities brought in. Having these people come in to add something to the show is the kind of an idea that will often work as fans from outside wrestling will tune in to see what is going on. WWE has done this for years and now they are doing it again with one of the biggest names they have.
WWE has announced that Logan Paul will be appearing this week on SmackDown. This comes after Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appeared on Paul’s Impaulsive podcast and then accused the show of mocking him. Reigns told Paul Heyman to handle this, which Heyman said he would do. Triple H then said they were welcome to “handle” this on SmackDown, with Paul being announced for the show shortly after.
I bless the world and bring the Island of Relevancy to your show. You and your boys acknowledge me and as soon as I’m gone you run your mouth?!.
Wiseman, handle him. @HeymanHustle https://t.co/vbWgX74ZAW— Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) September 14, 2022
I am in receipt of your command, and I shall indeed bestow upon @LoganPaul the wisdom he so desperately lacks.
My #TribalChief, please consider this HANDLED! https://t.co/POq1vmwngZ

Exactly how do you plan on handling me? https://t.co/cUuh1cWHvB

…It just so happens I have a globally televised platform to allow our Superstars to “handle” their issues with one another … consider this an invite for #Smackdown tomorrow night! https://t.co/99Rh9SJY4a

Opinion: While I’m not entirely sure why someone who works for WWE needs to be invited to come to the show, this is an interesting way to go as I’m not sure what Paul and Reigns are going to be able to do. Paul is someone who has a lot of star power but I don’t know if he is a big enough deal in WWE to be going after Reigns so soon into his career. It would be different and the match taking place at Crown Jewel wouldn’t stun me, but this is a really weird way to go.
What do you think of the idea? How would such a match go? Let us know in the comments below.
