Update your calendars. The wrestling world is in a weird place at the moment and a lot of that is due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The virus has changed the way so many things work in wrestling, with the biggest change being the lack of fans. WWE has not had a full audience in about ten months now and that is not going to be changing for the time being. However, that does give them some flexibility and they are using it again.

We are just over two weeks away from the Royal Rumble and that means that things are going to start getting interesting again in WWE. The show’s namesake matches will decides two of the #1 contenders for WrestleMania, but that does not cover everything that needs to be done. There are more title matches to be determined in another major match, and now that is not going to be taking place as originally scheduled.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has moved Elimination Chamber from February 28 up to February 21. There is no word on why the change was made and the event is still planned to take place from the Thunderdome in St. Petersburg, Florida. This came just a day before WWE announced that WrestleMania 36 would be moved back a week from April 4 to April 10 and 11.

Opinion: This isn’t the worst change in the world as it is going to be about the same for the fans watching at home. The show itself plays a big role in the Road To WrestleMania and hopefully the extra time gives them a change to build things up even better than usual. Elimination Chamber is an important enough show on its own and it isn’t like it the extra week is going to change much during the show’s buildup.
