It keeps things going. We are less than four days away from the biggest battle yet in the Wednesday Night Wars. NXT is presenting the Great American Bash to do battle against AEW’s Fyter Fest. Both shows have been built up in a big way and there are some major matches on all four shows. There is still time to set things up even more though and that is what NXT is trying to do.
Titles mean a lot in wrestling and NXT is no exception. They have managed to keep their titles valuable over the years by treating them as something special. That is a tricky move to pull off but one of the ways they have pulled it off is by making title shots hard to get. It has been the case for every title in the promotion and that will be the case again this coming week.
WWE has announced that the four way match for the #1 contendership to the Women’s Title at the first night of the Great American Bash (July 1) will now be an elimination match. The match will consist of Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Candice LeRae and Mia Yim. Whoever wins will face NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai the following week (July 8) in their title match. None of the four have ever been Women’s Champion.

All four of them have potential. Check out what they can all do in the ring:
Opinion: This is often the best way to go as the winner will seem like someone who survived rather than the first person to get a cheap fall out of nowhere. It’s also a way to stretch the match out a little bit, which can be a good idea. Any of the four could win and that makes for a better match as well. I like the idea all around and now they just need to have the match work out.
