Maybe not so much. There are a lot of people under the WWE banner but over the course of the year, that number has gone down more than once. Back in April, WWE released several wrestlers and backstage workers from the company. This is not the kind of thing that you want to see happen but given how everything has changed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it should not come as a surprise. Now some of them are coming back, but things are not quite the same.

While WWE released so many wrestlers from the company, they also suggested that some of them will be brought back when the situation begins to change. Part of the problem was that it was not clear when everything was going to be back to normal, which left a lot of people hanging for a very long time. About seven months later, some of those names are back but there is a bit of a catch.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, some of the wrestlers who have been brought back to the company are being brought back for lower pay. This is the case for both released and furloughed wrestlers, though it is not clear which of them are receiving the lower offers. Only some of the wrestlers who were let go in April have returned and it is not clear when or if the rest will be back.

There were some impressive names let go. Check out some of the people who are now gone:

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise as WWE’s income has been lowered due to not having fans at the shows, meaning it might not be so easy to pay some of these employees. At the same time, there are only so many things for these people to do, as WWE is only running television and pay per views at the moment. It would be nice to see everyone come back like they were before but that is not going to be the case anytime soon, if ever.
