There He is: WWE Announces Special CM Punk Return Later This Month

Welcome back. There are all kinds of stars in the wrestling world but only a few make a special connection with the fans. Those wrestlers are going to get a reaction no matter where they go, but there are certain places that get even bigger reactions than others. It can be a great moment when one of them shows up in one of those places, and that is what we will be seeing this week.

WWE has announced that CM Punk will be making a special appearance on the March 25 Monday Night Raw, which is set to take place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena. There is no word on what he is going to be doing on the show. Punk suffered a torn tricep muscle during the 2024 Royal Rumble but has made various appearances for WWE since. Drew McIntyre has also responded to the announcement, using footage from Punk’s AEW debut.

Opinion: WWE is trying some interesting tactics in keeping Punk in the fans’ mind since he has been out of action. That makes for an interesting way to go as Punk will be about two months into his recovery time when he shows up in Chicago. It is rather different than having Punk go away for the better part of a year and then show up out of nowhere again with a surprise and that is a nice change to see.
