Not so fast, again. WrestleMania 36 seems to be a cursed show. No matter what WWE does or how they try to set things up in advance, everything seems to come falling down around them every single time. Whether it is an injury or someone getting sick thanks to the Coronavirus, everything has to be changed almost every single time WWE tries to do something. Believe it or not, it has happened again.

This week on SmackDown, the New Day and the Usos were both named as #1 contenders to the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. While the champions, John Morrison and the Miz, interfered in the #1 contenders match, the announcement was made that the three teams would face off in a ladder match for the titles at WrestleMania. However, things had been changed before the match was ever made in the first place.

According to F4WOnline.com, the Miz did not participate at WrestleMania due to an illness. As a result, Morrison wrestled in a ladder match against a single Uso, though it is not clear which one, why the New Day was left out of the match or whether or not the match was for the Tag Team Titles. WWE made no reference to the change on this week’s SmackDown, which ended with the announcement of the triple threat ladder match.

It was a heck of a setup. Check out how we got to the original plan:

Opinion: To be fair, it had been at least an hour since something else had to be changed about WrestleMania. The show is such a wreck at this point and I have no idea how things could go even further south. At this point the show is going to be infamous for how messed up it has been, though I’m almost curious to see how the show goes once it finally makes air.

How do you see the title match going? How should WWE have handled this? Let us know in the comments below.
