At least they’re announcing it early. Two years ago, WWE debuted the annual Superstar Shakeup. The idea is rather simple really: names move from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown live and vice versa. This is one of the only times such a thing happens during the course of a year and for once, we know the date of the show rather far in advance, and even the place.

In a new ad that aired in Canada, the 2019 Superstar Shakeup is scheduled to air on April 15 and 16 on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. Both of these shows will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec Canada. The previous two editions of the Shakeup saw various names moving from one show to the other, though there is seemingly no structure set up to determine how many people move from show to show.

Here’s how it’s going down. Check out the advertisement in full:

Opinion: I’m not exactly wild on this concept, at least not so soon after the post-WrestleMania shows. It rendered what was once the most exciting show of the year almost lame ducks, as instead of seeing what we could be happening, we were stuck hearing about how everything would be changing next week. That’s not the most thrilling way to spend two nights, but WWE certainly likes having their structures set up way in advance.
