At the same time, the company has quite the strong presence online and in social media. That was on display this week, as the company reached a very impressive milestone that has taken years to accomplish and puts it in very elite company.

This week, WWE announced that it has officially reached 100 million subscribers on YouTube. Triple H was seen receiving the red diamond plaque from YouTube during this week’s edition of SmackDown. The official announcement praised the Rock for pushing WWE over the top. This makes WWE only the tenth channel to reach the milestone. It is the only sports related channel to achieve the status.

Opinion: There are a lot of things to criticize WWE about but this is one heck of a success. The company has been on top of its social media efforts for a very long time now and the company has reached quite the milestone with this achievement. It makes WWE feel like that much bigger of a company and it gives them quite the audience, which is exactly what they want.
