They aren’t going to be happy. This year has seen all kinds of changes to the WWE roster and some of them are rather hard to believe. There have been a bunch of changes and moves to the roster this year and that was the case again this week. Even more releases took place to wrap up the week and a few names were rather surprising. Now the reactions are coming in.
Friday night, during this week’s edition of SmackDown, WWE released more than a dozen people from the company, including a series of wrestlers and a referee. This is the latest round of cuts, following multiple series of cuts, over the year. The highest profile names releases were Bronson Reed, Mercedes Martinez and Bobby Fish, and the releases have earned some reactions from the wrestling world.

The word of the day is “Bummer”.
It was a bummer to see my friends lose their jobs but I take solace in knowing they will all end up OK and doing great things. Still though, major bummer.— Kyle O'Reilly (@KORcombat) August 7, 2021
Some of these names are going to be stars elsewhere. Check out what is going to hit the free agent market:
Opinion: I’m still not sure what is going with WWE but a lot of these names were barely around NXT TV most of the time. I can understand why WWE would want to get rid of some contracts which are just sitting around doing nothing, but at the same time it is sad to hear what happens to these people who are losing their jobs. They will find something new to do soon, but it is still hard to see.
