WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE's Stance On Potentially Bringing Back AJ Lee

They want her back. Despite how talented and successful someone might be during their time in WWE, at some point they are going to have to leave. It might be due to something as simple as wanting to hang up their boots, but everyone eventually leaves. That does not necessarily mean they are done in WWE though, as the company occasionally attempts to bring them back. That is the case again with a former star.

According to WrestleVotes Radio by by way of Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is open to bringing back AJ Lee, with the decision on a possible return being left up to her. There is no word on if Lee is interested in returning. Lee left WWE in 2015 and has not wrestled since, though she has worked for the Women Of Wrestling promotion. Her husband, CM Punk, occasionally references her in interviews.

Opinion: This is something that could work out rather well if Lee wants to return to the ring. She hasn’t been around in a long time but she was still rather young when she left in the first place. Lee has already had a legendary career in WWE and that would only grow if she came back for another run against the modern generation. I’m not sure if it’s going to happen, but the foundation is certainly there.
