Back to the old. A name is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s overall persona as it tells the people a lot about what they are seeing. The wrong name can cause a lot of problems for a wrestler but thankfully there are ways to fix the problem. WWE has a lot of fixing to do and for once it seems like they are actually going to do something about one of their problems.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE has filed a trademark on the name “Piper Niven”, which is the former name of current Monday Night Raw star Doudrop. During Doudrop’s debut earlier this year, Eva Marie said she did not want to hear her name and dubbed her Doudrop instead. The name has stuck, even after Eva Marie’s departure from WWE. There has been no mention of the Niven name so far on Monday Night Raw.
Doudrop has been a force during her time on Monday Night Raw. Check out some of her work on the show:
Opinion: This is some good news as Doudrop is quite the goofy name and feels much more like a joke. Niven is better and closer to her original Viper name, which isn’t going to be used due to reasons of Randy Orton. At least this is an upgrade though and hopefully the sign that WWE is willing to make some simple fixes to problems that shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
What do you think of the change? How far can Niven go in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
