Earlier this month, a rumor began circulating that WWE would be holding a media event of some kind in New Orleans during next month’s Super Bowl week. However, according to WrestleVotes, WWE is reportedly “reconsidering” their plans to hold the event. WWE and the city of New Orleans are said to be in communication about an upcoming press event, with a significant announcement expected. This comes amid rumors that New Orleans is the front runner to host WrestleMania 42 next year, though this has not been confirmed.

Opinion: This is where things can get interesting, as WWE getting involved with the Super Bowl in any way makes sense. At the same time, it seems like we could be getting ready for a major announcement about New Orleans in the near future, which could be a WrestleMania hosting gig. What that means is things could get interesting rather soon, and that is rather exciting.
