WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE “Loves” This Superstar Backstage, Possible Future World Champion

He has fans. With so many talented wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult for a wrestler to find a way to stand out. Being able to have good matches on a regular basis helps, but there has to be something more to really push someone to the next level. It seems that a current star in WWE has done just that, and is receiving praise backstage as a result.

According to WrestleVotes in an interview with GiveMeSport, several people backstage in WWE, including COO Triple H “love” Gunther, to the point where he may be a future World Champion. Other than Triple H, names such as Road Dogg and Jason Jordan are said to be fans. Gunther is the reigning Intercontinental Champion and has held the title since June 10, 2022. This gives him the longest reign since The Rock in 1997-98.

Opinion: Can you blame them? Gunther is the kind of wrestler that any promotion would love to have as he has the size, power, ability and dedication to make for a great career. It would not surprise me whatsoever to see him as World Champion one day. His Intercontinental Title reign has been quite the success and after such a dominant reign, the World Title would make a lot of sense.
