WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Discussing Summerslam Segment Involving Legend

It worked before. There are all kinds of different wrestlers on the WWE roster and some of them are best used in certain ways. The company has an ability to develop a track record with them doing one thing or another and as a result, they will keep going back to that same idea. Now it seems we are about to see that done again on one of the biggest stages of the year.

Earlier this year, Grayson Waller was drafted from NXT to SmackDown. Over the course of the next few months, Waller would host his Grayson Waller Effect talk show before having his debut match against Edge on July 7. According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, WWE is pitching ideas for a Summerslam segment involving Waller and a WWE legend. Waller is believed to have done well in his time with Edge and John Cena, though nothing has been made official as of late.

While nothing is set in stone, ideas have been pitched to have a SummerSlam weekend segment between Grayson Waller and a WWE legend.

Opinion: This is something that would make all the sense in the world as Waller has done rather well with what he has be offered so far. WWE could bring in quite a few legends to work with Waller in this situation and they all could put together quite the moment. Waller is certainly being thrown into the deep end to start and so far, he has managed to swim, as Edge himself pointed out.
