WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Considers Huge Brock Lesnar Match For This Summer

That’s a big one. We are officially done with WrestleMania 39 and that means it is time to start getting ready for the rest of the WWE calendar. Some of those shows are easier to put together than others, but some big matches are going to be needed at some point. You can see some seeds planted here and there, and now we might have one for something coming up later this year.

During the men’s Royal Rumble match in January, Gunther and Brock Lesnar had a face to face showdown, leading to speculation about a future match between the two. The match did not take place at WrestleMania 39, but according to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, WWE is considering the match at some point in the summer, though nothing has been set. There is no word on whether the match would be for Gunther’s Intercontinental Title.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could make for a great showdown and a huge moment for Gunther. At the end of the day, Gunther is rapidly becoming one of the biggest things in WWE and it would be great for him to get a victory over someone of Lesnar’s caliber. That is a game changer and career maker so maybe that is what we will be getting to see later this year.
