Flashback. We are coming up on the return of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will mark the return of the show after more than eighteen years. That is not the entire history of the show though, as Saturday Night’s Main Event debuted nearly forty years ago. As a result, WWE is considering bringing back some legendary names from the past, some of whom you might remember.

According to WrestleVotes Radio by way of Wrestlingnews.co, WWE is considering bringing in Hulk Hogan and Wendi Richter, who appeared on the original Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 10, 1985, for the show. It is not confirmed that either of them will be appearing on the show. Jimmy Hart is currently the only legend confirmed for the event, which is set for December 14.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE loves to do and it would not surprise me to see them do it again here. The show certainly has a lot of history and it seems that WWE is wanting to tie into that history as well as possible. There are far worse ideas for WWE to use and I’m curious about who they are going to bring in for the show, as some of their ideas are quite good.
