It’s in the cards. There have been several stars throughout WWE’s history but most of their times with the company wrap up when they are done with their in-ring careers. Every so often you will see them pop up for some kind of a special moment. That was teased earlier this month, but it seems that we could be in for some more of a special star in the company’s near future.

Back at WWE Bad Blood, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther insulted WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg, leading to a near brawl between the two. According to WrestleVotes on the Backstage Pass podcast, WWE does indeed have plans for Goldberg going forward but there is no word on what those plans might be, including whether or not they would include Gunther. Earlier reports have said that Goldberg vs. Gunther is not currently planned for an upcoming event.
This could be interesting. Check out the buildup and the two in action:
Opinion: It makes sense that WWE has some sort of plans in mind for Goldberg, as there would have been little reason to have him show up in such a way otherwise. Goldberg might not be everyone’s cup of tea at the moment, but he is certainly a legend and someone who could be put into a spot like this for a heck of a fight. Goldberg vs. Gunther could be interesting, but WWE needs to time it right to make it work out as well as possible.
