On the mend. There are a variety of ways for a wrestler to be taken off television and some of them are designed to advance a major storyline. That can lead to some big moments when someone is taken off television but it can also provide quite the comeback. We might be seeing that again sooner rather than later, with one of the bigger stars in WWE today showing up again.

Back in November, Kevin Owens attacked Randy Orton with a piledriver, taking him off television in the process and he has yet to return. However, according to WrestleVotes by way of Cagesideseats.com, Orton is expected to return to WWE at the Royal Rumble at the latest, if not before then. There is no word on how Orton will be brought back. The Royal Rumble is scheduled for February 1.

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise, as Orton would be a heck of a return for the Royal Rumble, which is built around the idea of having people show up as a surprise. It could be a heck of a moment to have Orton return at the show, either in the show’s namesake match or in the Owens vs. Cody Rhodes match. Either way, it should be a nice moment, which is what WWE is trying to do.
