IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Update On Corey Graves/WWE Situation, What Caused The Change
Earlier this week, stories emerged that Malakai Black would be leaving AEW when his contract expired in the next few months. According to Pro Wrestling Torch, Black had been telling people in the last “year or two” that he was burned out and considering retiring, though it is not clear if that was just a way to get out of his contract. Black was also reportedly criticized by others in AEW, mainly due to being unwilling to lose matches. It was also said that Black and AEW President Tony Khan never clicked. AEW has not officially announced that Black is leaving or if he will return to AEW TV before he potentially departs.
He had his moments. Check out Black in AEW:
Opinion: This is where things get more interesting, as there have been rumors of Black not being overly happy in AEW and now those seem to be accurate. At the end of the day, there is no reason to have him stick around in AEW if he isn’t happy, which is interesting as he didn’t seem thrilled with his time in WWE. Maybe he’ll head back there, but there is absolutely no guarantee that things will work out there either.
