WRESTLING RUMORS: Recent NXT Spot Went Wrong, Star Cut Open

It went too far. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can be hurt during a match or a segment and some of them are a lot worse than others. One of those is when something planned does not go s it was originally planned. Unfortunately someone is going to be injured and you won’t even see it, and in this case, both of the situations are true at the same time.

The main event of this week’s edition of NXT saw Bron Breakker defeat Von Wagner in a No DQ match. Following the match, Breakker put Wagner on the steps and attempted to crush him with the other set of steps. The screen cut to black before the contact, though the sound continued. According to Bodyslam.net, Breakker accidentally made more contact than he should have with the steps, resulting in Wagner being busted open. It is not clear whether Wagner suffered an injury or was just cut.

Opinion: Hopefully Wagner is ok as that could have been a rather nasty situation. At the end of the day, those steps are rather large and dangerous, so there is a danger to doing something like this with them. Breakker is a powerhouse and there is only so much that can be done when he is able to throw around something the size of those steps, especially in a violent angle.
