WRESTLING RUMORS: Possible New Match For The WWE Royal Rumble

Another? We are just over a week away from the Royal Rumble and that is one of the trickiest shows WWE puts together all year. The company has to put sixty wrestlers into two matches, which does not leave much else for the card. WWE will still be able to make a show around the namesake matches though, and now we might have an idea of what could be added.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Big Update On WWE Possibly Bringing Back Defunct Wrestling Promotion

According to WrestleVotes in a Backstage Pass by way of Cagesideseats.com, WWE may be considering a women’s midcard title match for the Royal Rumble. This may be a Chelsea Green Women’s United States Title defense of some kind, though this has yet to be confirmed. The Royal Rumble is set to take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 1.

Opinion: This is something that almost has to be one as you can’t have a three match card, even if two of the matches are going to be about an hour each. Adding something like this in should be enough to stretch the show out, though they are still going to be a bit tight on time. For now though, I’m at least interested in the idea, as Green has been on a heck of a roll as of late.
