They aren’t done. Backlash has come and gone and that means WWE can move its focus to Night Of Champions later this month in Saudi Arabia. The show will feature the finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, with a tournament beginning this week on WWE TV. However, there might be some Backlash fallout to deal with on the way.

The main event of Backlash saw Cody Rhodes defeat Brock Lesnar by reversing the Kimura into a rollup for the pin. Following the match, Rhodes immediately left the arena with Lesnar staying in the ring. According to WRKD Wrestling on Twitter, the feud between the two is likely not over. Rhodes has been announced as an entrant in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, but according to the report, Lesnar “will quickly make his intentions known”. There is no word on when Lesnar is expected to return to WWE TV.

This could be interesting. Check out the two together and apart:
Opinion: This could be an interesting way to go, but Rhodes certainly did not get a big decisive win in the match. Therefore, keeping the feud going does make sense, though Rhodes not being in the World Title match is almost hard to fathom. Another Lesnar match could work, though it doesn’t exactly feel like a big step forward for Rhodes, who needs the elevation.
