That explains a bit. Every so often you see a wrestling performance that defies all logic and abilities, as you might not know how someone is able to do what they pull off in the ring. That was the case this weekend as a wrestler worked through one of the most gruesome injuries that you will likely remember for a very long time. Now we know a bit more about how it happened.

At Hell In A Cell, Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in the show’s main event, which was held inside the show’s title structure. Rhodes wrestled the match despite having torn his pectoral muscle earlier in the week. According to Wrestlingnews.co, Rhodes was allowed to wrestle the match because he could not cause any more damage. However, some spots, including a moonsault, were removed from the match.

Opinion: That does explain a bit and it doesn’t at all take away from the rather amazing performance that we saw from Rhodes in the match. Being able to go out there and do that in his condition in a nearly twenty five minute match is rather impressive and Rhodes has positioned himself as a major star for WWE as soon as he is healthy. Hopefully that is sooner than later, because he could be a force in a hurry.

What did you think of the match? What is next for Rhodes when he returns? Let us know in the comments below.
