That was a thing. There are all kinds of stars in WWE and it takes someone special to stand out above the rest of the crowd. It is often the star who is willing to go the extra mile who gets the attention and that is where people get noticed more than anyone else. That is what we saw over the weekend, as a major star did a little something extra which was not in the plans.

This weekend at WWE Survivor Series, CM Punk returned to the ring, joining Roman Reigns, Sami Zayn and the Usos to defeat the Bloodline and Bronson Reed. Before the match started, Punk confronted the Bloodline and yelled at them while they were in their team cage, even shoving Reed. According to WrestlePurists, this was not in the script for the match and Punk ad-libbed the segment. There is nothing to suggest this is seen as a bad thing backstage in WWE.

It was a nasty match. Check out what happened:
Opinion: This is the kind of little thing that makes Punk feel like a star. No he isn’t physically the biggest star in the world, but he is someone who is willing to fight until the end and that makes people care about him. It worked well here and I wanted to see Punk go after these monsters and see what happened. It wasn’t an important part of the match, but it was a nice little touch and I’ll take a little bonus.
