That could take time. There are all kinds of injuries among wrestlers and some of them can be rather devastating. You can see wrestlers put on the shelf for quite a long time as they can need quite a bit of time to heal. Sometimes the process for healing up can take longer than expected and that seems to be the situation again, as a prominent star is needing more help that previously thought.

AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been out of action since December due to a shoulder injury. According to WrestlePurists, Friedman has undergone surgery to repair his shoulder. There is no word on when the surgery took place and there is no timetable on when he will be able to return to the ring. Friedman has also been dealing with a hip injury and it is not clear how long that will take to heal.
Sources close to the situation have confirmed to WrestlePurists that MJF has undergone surgery on his left shoulder.
MJF was originally aiming for a March return and met with Tony Khan in Boston to discuss creative plans.

Opinion: That isn’t good to hear, but at least Friedman is on the road to recovery. He has already been out of action for four months and now we have to wait and see just how long that will continue. Friedman is one of the biggest stars in AEW history and having him come back will be a huge boost for the company. It’s a shame that he is gone for so long, but at least he will be back at full strength when he gets to return.
