That would be a big one. We are less than two months removed from WrestleMania 39 and that means we are less than a year away from WrestleMania 40. The show will once again be held over two nights, this time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That means the event is going to need a pair of huge matches to headline the event, and now WWE is reportedly looking at one of them.

The main event of the second night of WrestleMania 39 saw Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns retaining the title against Cody Rhodes. According to WrestleVotes by way of Give Me Sport, a rematch between the two is “very much on the table” to main event WrestleMania 40. This comes after a report that Rhodes vs. Gunther is being discussed as a main event of the show as well. There is nothing to suggest that any match has been made official so far.

Opinion: That would be a bit of a stretch but it would absolutely feel like a make up result for this year’s main event. Rhodes felt like he was as set up to win the title about as perfectly as he could have been but then it didn’t happen. I could see Rhodes winning the title down the line, but my goodness that is almost hard to fathom after where things were at WrestleMania this year.
