They’re interested. One of the more important wrestling stories of the year has been the amount of WWE contracts that have come up for renewal. Wrestlers have been on the verge of leaving the company more than once and it makes for some interesting discussions about where they might go next. Now it seems that we might be seeing the same problem, but from a different promotion.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Maybe? Injured AEW Star Hopes His Career Can Continue Following Surgery

According to Luchalibreonline.com, Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract with AEW is expected to expire in August or September of this year. WWE is said to be interested in signing him, though there is no word on how interested Penta would be in leaving AEW. Penta is currently part of both the Lucha Bros with his brother Rey Fenix, as well as the Death Triangle, with Fenix and Pac.

He’s been good. Check out Penta in AEW:

Opinion: This is something that could be interesting if it winds up happening, as Penta is not someone I would have expected WWE to be interested in signing. It also shows that AEW is getting stars on WWE’s radar, though that could make for some difficult situations for AEW at the same time. I’m curious to see how it goes, and this is not likely to be the last time something like this happens.
