Comeback? Retirement is a tricky concept in wrestling as you never know if someone is actually going to stay out of the ring or good. There is often the chance that someone could return to the ring at some point, even if it is just a short term run. We might be seeing that again down the line, with a former champion making a return to the ring after quite the lengthy absence.

According to WrestleVotes Radio by way of Cagesideseats.com, WWE is considering having Wade Barrett return to the ring for a match against Drew McIntyre. This would be nothing more than a short term return to the ring for Barrett rather than a full time relaunch of his in-ring career. Barrett, 44 years old, has not wrestled since 2016 and is currently a broadcaster for WWE.

Opinion: This is something that seems to have been teased for a little while now and WWE actually pulling the trigger on such a match could be interesting. At the end of the day, WWE has done a good job of making this work before and it could be interesting to see them do it again with Barrett. There is enough of a history between them and it would be nice to see these two beat each other up one more time.
What do you think of the idea? How would the match go? Let us know in the comments below.
