WRESTLING RUMOR: Traditional WrestleMania Weekend Event Not Expected To Take Place This year

Not this time? We are still in the beginning of a new year and that means it is time to start getting ready for some of the most important shows of the year. This is the case for multiple promotions, some of which do not present events very often. A few of these shows are announced quite a ways in advance, but in this case, one of those shows is not likely to take place.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Big Update On Jade Cargill’s Status And Possible WWE Return

According to WrestleZone.com, AEW is not expected to hold the traditional Ring Of Honor Supercard Of Honor event over WrestleMania Weekend. A source said that the show was going to be taking place in Las Vegas in April but the plans have been scrapped for some reason. There is still the chance that the show could be held in another location at a later date. No official match has been made about the show.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with this show but it is a situation where Ring Of Honor’s weekly show is going to suffer as a result. This is one of the three shows that the promotion runs and it will be a shame to have one less event to build towards. It would be nice to see it happen in its traditional slot, but that does not seem likely at the moment. Maybe it changes, though I would be a bit surprised at this point.
