Wrestling Legend Reveals Another Near Backstage AEW Brawl

Yes, almost again. There are a lot of different kinds of personalities in any wrestling locker room and sometimes those personalities can clash in a bad way. It can be rough seeing things break down between stars but there is very little that can be done to avoid the situation entirely. Now we are hearing about what was almost another backstage brawl between AEW stars.

During the latest episode of Konnan’s Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan spoke about the backstage issues in AEW between Santana and Ortiz. Konnan said that he heard that their issues almost led to a physical altercation between Santana and Eddie Kingston, though there was no reason given for what led to the issue. There is no word no why Santana and Ortiz’s relationship has broken down. It should also be noted that any Kingston and Santana incident would have taken place in May at the earliest, as Santana has been out of action with a knee injury.

Opinion: Somehow this is a relief as AEW has built up a reputation as a company with a lot of backstage issues. It is nice to see one of them not break down into another fight as I’m not sure how many more of them the company can take. I’m not sure what is going on with Santana and Ortiz but it would not surprise me to see at least one of them leave as soon as they can, which might be for the better of the backstage atmosphere.
