That could have been worse. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and unfortunately they all have a number of problems included. One of the biggest is to have storylines altered if someone is put on the shelf. This can happen to any wrestler at any time, including champions. It seemed to be the case again this week but we do have some good news to report.
This weekend, a report surfaced that Kevin Owens had suffered some sort of a leg injury at a WWE live event. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, Owens’ ankle is “good to go” for this week’s SmackDown. Owens is scheduled to team with Sami Zayn to defend the Tag Team Titles against the Usos in a rematch of the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 39.
Owens and Zayn work rather well together. Check out the two of them as a team:
Opinion: This is quite the sigh of relief as it seems that we are going to be seeing Owens in the ring with Zayn in one of the bigger matches that SmackDown has seen in a good while. An ankle injury is one of the more pesky things that a wrestler has to deal with, as they can take their time to heal up. Thankfully this one does not seem to be overly serious, which could have been rather awful.
What do you think of Owens and Zayn as a team? How will the rematch go? Let us know in the comments below.
