That’s a bad one. There are all kinds of injuries that a wrestler can suffer at any time and they can be devastating to a career. You can see a wrestler get injured at any time and left on the shelf, often for months at a time. These things can be the biggest fluke accidents in the world and that was the case last month. Now we know a bit more about the extent of the situation and it is not good.

At AEW Dynamite Grand Slam in September, Adam Cole came to the ring to help his friend Maxwell Jacob Friedman. As he came to the ring though, Cole hurt his ankle coming off the ramp and has not wrestled since. During a recent Twitch live stream, Cole revealed that he will need two surgeries, resulting in eight screws being put into his ankle, along with a plate. There is no word on when he could return to the ring, with Cole describing it as “soul crushing”.

Cole is pretty awesome when he’s healthy. Check out some of his time in AEW:

Opinion: That is one of the all time fluke injuries and I can understand why people are a little skeptical about believing it. If this really is a fake injury, hats off to Cole for selling the heck out of the thing. It certainly seems like he is hurt and if he isn’t, then he is a better actor than I would give him credit for being. For now though, it’s going to be a long time before Cole can get back in the ring and hopefully it isn’t as long as it seems it could be.

How has Cole done so far in AEW? Would he have taken the World Title from MJF? Let us know in the comments below.
